Women’s cricket

Indira Road Krira Chakra recorded a four-wicket victory over DhakaWanderers Club in their Women’s Club Cup Cricket Tournament at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Despite making a good start through openers Labony Aktar and Kime Karmokar, Dhaka Wanderers were bowled out for 109 in 36.4 overs. Labony scored highest 28 while Kime scored 16. Salma Aktar took four wickets for fifteen runs while Mina Khatun took three for ten.

In their reply, Indira Road lost a couple of wickets cheaply, but Puja Das stood tall with a 40-run knock that saw them reach the victory target in just 18.3 overs and four wickets to spare.
