This Baishakh, Banglar Mela’s latest attraction includes saris, organza silk, half silk, Andy, khadi mixed cotton and other designs. Block, spray, hand frame print, tie-dye boutique vegetable dye, karchupi, machine embroidery, cutwork,

kantha have been used on the outfits with a variety of sequence. The saris are priced at Tk 4,500 to Tk 6,000. Half silks are made with rickshaw painting, blocks and hand frame prints along with machine embroidery. The price is between Tk 1,800 to Tk 2,500. There are also saris in bright colours using spray and blocks that are available for Tk 800 to Tk 850. Shalwar kameezes have been designed with screen print, block, tie-dye, kantha, glitters, embroidery on red, white, orange, yellow, lime green etc. For men there are punjabis between Tk 500 to Tk 1,250 on khadi, Andy, hand frame print, batik, block, machine embroidery etc. The children’s outfits are available between Tk 250 and Tk 850.
