Dhaka Mohammedan to meet Ansar

The final match of the Women’s Club Cup Cricket tournament between Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) and Bangladesh Ansar and VDP will be held today (Monday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur in the city, reports UNB. The match will start at 10:00 am. State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarker will be the chief guest in the final and distribute the prizes. The final match between the two teams was earlier scheduled for Sunday but it was postponed by BCB Saturday night.

Bangladesh Ansar and VDP smartly reached the final with all-win run eliminating BKSP by huge 108 runs in the semifinal after beating Mohammedan SC by 17 runs, Victoria Sporting Club by 10 wickets and Indira Road KC by 103 runs in the group matches.

Mohammedan Sporting Club advanced to the final beating their arch-rival Abahani Limited by 21 runs in the semifinal after beating both Indira Road KC and Victoria Sporting Club by 10 wickets, and losing their only match to Ansar and VDP team by 17 runs.
