DCCI holds PC training for women entrepreneurs

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) under its Women Entrepreneurs and Export Development (WEED) Standing Committee organised a two-day training on personal computer (PC) and Internet for women entrepreneurs.

The objective of the training was to provide first hand knowledge on PC and Internet to small and micro level women entrepreneurs so that by enhancing skill on communication they could reduce their cost of business, said a press release.

The training programme was organised for those who do not have any knowledge on the computers and how they could run their business more efficiently by utilising benefits of computers.

The training includes all the basic applications and exercises of computers and covered basic Internet, excel and other related operations.

Coordinating Director of Women Entrepreneur and Product Diversification Standing Committee Safina Rahman inaugurated the programme.

A total of 12 participants took part in the course.

Additional Secretary (R&P) of the DCCI Ferdaus Ara Begam moderated the programme, while Deputy Secretary (MIS) Mr Shamsuddin Azad and Information Technology (IT) Officer Mr Hasan Iqbal conducted the course, the release added.
